Tried & Tested Trout

Provided by Robert Gibson Not sure where this recipe comes from - but it's delicious, simple and easy to make. The lemon juice gives a nice kick that balances out the creaminess. The smoked trout, meanwhile, is easier on the pocket than smoked salmon, but is every bit as tasty.

Cheese and Vegetable Roast

I first discovered this Cheese and Vegetable Roast in the Food Aid Cookery Book way back in 1986 and it has remained a firm favourite ever since. Even those who don’t expect to like it are completely won over because it doesn’t taste like you imagine it should. Very very good hot and cold.

Stracciatella Soup

A very old Italian recipe which I first discovered on a visit to Rome. My kids think it looks fairly disgusting but it tastes amazing and it is so simple.
