The Lion & Lamb, originally a farmhouse built in 1718 using stones from Hadrian’s Wall, was converted into a Coaching Inn in 1744. Over the past 250 years successive landlords have built upon its reputation for fine food and ales, a reputation that we are keen to uphold.
